2000-07-17wolverine is a fox.

The weekend-- on Friday night me, Julie, Tami, Emily, and Julie's BIL Michael all went to Trevor's theatre (where all of us with the notable exceptions of Emily and Michael had worked previously) to see "The X-Men." I had expected it to blow donkey wangs, pretty much, although I hadn't given it that much thought. The house was packed and we got in with passes. Julie had to leave with Emily early on in the movie.

It did not blow! It was great. Somber and intelligent, no uneccessary profanity and violence. That makes me sound like a prude but that's true and I liked that aspect.

Another aspect of the movie I like was Hugh Jackman (very porny name) as Wolverine. The first time he's seen is shirtless from the back in a cage in some horrible bar in Canada. And I was like, Heyyyy, and from that point on, they sold me. The man is built JUST right (I mean as a man, not necessarily as Wolverine, since people are complaining that he's too tall or whatever.) It's always nice to have a bit of a hormonal kick in a good movie. Adia thinks he was too cute. Bite me! :) Julie pointed out that it doesn't even matter that his hair is bad. And the weight of that statement cannot be overemphasized. Rare is the man whose hair does not matter.

So on Saturday a good MST3K was on, but that's about it.

On Sunday I went to Lenox in a search for jeans. I went to Guess? first and got some for $60 which had me conflicted until I realized they were NOT dry-clean only. Phew.

You know, I basically consider myself to have a freakish body, more or less, so it was odd to see all these 27-32 jeans that fit me. What's going on? I also bought a cheetah print belt I have no need for. :) That was all. I'm glad I managed to limit spending to what my grandmother gave me so I have my own $$$ for Chas.

Speaking of which, the venue is small and the tickets are nearly sold out, so some of the people I was hoping to see don't seem to be going, because they can't nail down their plans/ can't call long distance/ whatever. I'm kind of mad but I resign myself to things pretty easy. I wish them luck.
